A summary for convenience. The terms below are what actually govern the Guarantee.
1.1This guarantee, Lose 6 or Get $600 ("the Guarantee"), is offered by CalCut Pty Ltd (ACN 697 215 660, ABN 57 697 215 660) of Tarneit, Victoria 3029 ("CalCut", "we", "us").

1.3By pre-registering on our website, you accept these Terms in full. If you don't agree with them, don't enter.
1.4Apple Inc. is not a sponsor of the Guarantee and is not involved in it in any manner. These Terms are available at https://calcut.com.au/guarantee-terms.html for the duration of the Guarantee.
2.1The Guarantee is a conditional performance guarantee. It is not a competition, lottery, sweepstake or game of chance. Nothing is drawn, no winner is selected, and there is no element of luck. Every entrant who meets the conditions in these Terms and does not lose 6 kg is paid.
2.2There is no entry fee, no stake and no deposit. The only cost is the ordinary retail price of a CalCut annual subscription, described in section 6. You are not required to buy anything else.
2.3Payment under the Guarantee is made by CalCut directly to you. No payment is made through the App Store or through the app.
3.1You may enter if, at the time of pre-registration and at the time your CalCut account is created, you:
(a)are aged 18 years or over;
(b)are a resident of Australia, with your App Store account set to the Australian storefront;
(c)have not previously held a CalCut account. The Guarantee is open to new CalCut accounts only, created during the Offer Period in section 4;
(d)meet the requirements in clause 3.3.
3.2The following are not eligible: employees, contractors and directors of CalCut, and their immediate families.
3.3You must not enter if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, currently living with an eating disorder, or have a history of an eating disorder. This exclusion applies to the Guarantee only. You remain welcome to use the CalCut app.
3.4If you are under medical supervision, receiving treatment for any condition, or taking medication that affects weight, appetite or physical activity, consult your doctor before entering. CalCut cannot assess whether the Guarantee is appropriate for you.
3.5One entry per person. Entering through more than one account, or through another person's account, disqualifies every associated entry.
4.1Pre-registration is open from the day CalCut first publishes the Guarantee until 11:59pm on Monday 26 October 2026 ("the Offer Period"). Pre-registrations received after that time are not accepted.
4.2CalCut may close pre-registration before 26 October 2026 by removing the pre-registration form from its website. Anyone who has already pre-registered is unaffected and may still enter under clause 4.3.
4.3To enter, you must complete steps (b) and (c) in clause 5.1 within 14 days of your pre-registration, and in any case no later than 11:59pm on Monday 9 November 2026.
4.4Your Guarantee Period is the 60 consecutive days beginning on the day your CalCut account is created ("Day 1"). Day 60 is the sixtieth day counting Day 1 as the first.
4.5All times are Melbourne, Australia time — Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) for the whole of the Offer Period. Days for the purpose of the two rules are counted in the local time set on your device, as recorded by the app.
5.1To enter, in this order:
(a)pre-register at https://calcut.com.au/guarantee during the Offer Period, giving the email address you will use for your CalCut account, confirming you are an Australian resident, and accepting these Terms;
(b)weigh yourself, photograph the scale, then download CalCut from the App Store and create an account using the same email address. When the app asks for your current weight during setup, enter the weight shown in that photograph. That is your starting weight. When the app asks how quickly you want to lose weight, choose the fastest option it offers — 0.75 kg a week, labelled "Aggressive" in the app;
(c)subscribe to the CalCut annual plan. The annual plan begins with a 7-day free trial and then renews at its ordinary retail price.
5.2Your entry is complete when all three steps are done. There is no separate confirmation, form or screen in the app. CalCut identifies entrants by matching the email address on a pre-registration to the email address on a CalCut account created during the Offer Period.
5.3The email addresses must match. If you create your CalCut account with a different email address, or use Sign in with Apple with your email hidden, CalCut cannot identify your entry. If this happens, write to support@calcut.com.au from your pre-registered address within 14 days of pre-registering, giving the address on your account, and CalCut will link the two.
5.4There is no entry screen, badge or progress display in the app for the Guarantee. Your progress is the same daily record every CalCut member sees.
6.1The Guarantee applies to the CalCut annual plan only. Monthly subscriptions are not eligible.
6.2The annual plan begins with a 7-day free trial and then renews at its ordinary retail price, currently AUD $59.99 per year. No premium, surcharge or additional charge of any kind applies because of the Guarantee.
6.3To remain eligible, you must hold an active annual subscription continuously from the end of your trial until the end of your Guarantee Period and at the time any payment is made. If your subscription lapses at any point during your Guarantee Period, your entry ends and no payment is due.
6.4If you cancel during the free trial you pay nothing, and your entry ends.
6.5Subscription pricing, billing, refunds and cancellation are governed by the CalCut Terms of Service and by Apple's terms. Entering the Guarantee does not alter those terms and does not entitle you to any refund from CalCut or Apple.
7.1The Guarantee is assessed on the app's 0.75 kg a week setting, labelled "Aggressive", which is the fastest rate CalCut offers. It sets your daily calorie target approximately 750 kcal below your estimated daily energy expenditure, and the app sets your daily step goal. You choose this rate yourself during setup under clause 5.1(b).
7.2Keep that rate for the whole of your Guarantee Period. If you change to a slower rate, or otherwise raise your calorie target, your entry ends. The app may adjust your targets as your weight and activity change, exactly as it does for every user, and those adjustments do not affect your eligibility.
7.3Where the app's minimum daily calorie floor prevents a full 750 kcal reduction, the target the app sets is the target you are assessed on. You remain eligible.
7.4If you believe your targets have been set incorrectly, contact support@calcut.com.au within 7 days of creating your account. Requests made later may be declined.
7.5Leaving the Guarantee. You may stop at any time by simply changing your setting or ceasing to log. Nothing needs to be done in the app. There is no re-entry. Stopping does not affect your subscription.
8.1CalCut scores two daily rules: staying at or under your daily calorie target, and meeting or exceeding your daily step goal.
8.2A "Green Day" is a day on which the app records both rules as met.
8.3To qualify for payment you must record at least 50 Green Days within your 60-day Guarantee Period. Up to 10 days may be missed for any reason. The days need not be consecutive.
8.4A day is scored as the app records it at the end of that day in your device's local time. Food must be logged in the app for the calorie rule to be assessed; a day with no food logged is not a Green Day. Steps are read automatically from Apple Health.
8.5The app's record is the record. Determinations under this section are made solely from data recorded by the CalCut app, read by CalCut when you claim. No other evidence of diet or activity is considered. Correspondence is entered into only in relation to a clear technical error, reported to support@calcut.com.au within 7 days of the day in question.
9.1Starting weigh-in. Your starting weight is the weight you enter in the app during setup on Day 1 under clause 5.1(b).
9.2Final weigh-in. You must log your final weight in the app, using its ordinary weight log, during the Claim Window: from the start of Day 60 to 11:59pm on Day 63 of your Guarantee Period. If no final weigh-in is recorded in the Claim Window, your entry ends and no payment is due. CalCut will email your pre-registered address before the Claim Window opens. Keeping track of your Day 60 is your responsibility.
9.3Photographs. At each of the two weigh-ins, take a photograph of your scale showing the reading you log, and keep it. The app does not collect these photographs. If you make a claim, email both photographs to support@calcut.com.au within 7 days of claiming. Each photograph should show the face of the scale with the reading clearly legible.
9.4Use the same scale for both weigh-ins where possible, and weigh yourself under similar conditions each time, for example first thing in the morning, before eating, in light clothing. These are recommendations to protect your own result; they are not grounds for disqualification.
9.5The weight you log must be your actual weight as shown on the scale at that time. A logged weight that does not match its photograph, or a starting weight that is inconsistent with weights logged before or after it, may be treated under section 11.
9.6Verification. Before paying a claim, CalCut may ask you to confirm your final weight by a short live video weigh-in arranged with CalCut support within 7 days of your claim, or to provide other reasonable evidence. A request for verification is not an accusation. Declining or not completing a reasonable verification request means the claim cannot be paid.
9.7Missing or unclear photographs. Where a photograph is missing or unclear, CalCut may accept other evidence, or may pay the claim without it where, having regard to your full logging record and any verification under clause 9.6, it is satisfied that the result is genuine. That decision is made in good faith and is at CalCut's discretion.
9.8Photographs you send are stored privately, used only to administer the Guarantee, never published, and handled under section 14.
10.1You qualify for payment if all of the following are true:
(a)you entered in accordance with section 5, including choosing the rate in clause 5.1(b);
(b)you recorded at least 50 Green Days within your 60-day Guarantee Period (section 8);
(c)you held an active annual subscription continuously from the end of your free trial to the end of your Guarantee Period (section 6);
(d)you logged a valid final weigh-in in the Claim Window (section 9); and
(e)your final weight is less than 6.0 kg below your starting weight.
10.2If clauses 10.1(a) to (d) are met and your final weight is 6.0 kg or more below your starting weight, you have achieved the result the Guarantee is about, and no payment is due.
10.3The payment is AUD $600, paid once per person, by bank transfer or PayPal at your election, within 28 days of a valid claim being verified. CalCut bears any transfer fees.
10.4To claim, email support@calcut.com.au from your pre-registered address within 14 days of the end of your Claim Window, with the subject line "Guarantee claim", your two scale photographs under clause 9.3, and your preferred payment method. CalCut will check your entry against the app's records and reply within 14 days.
10.5The payment is not transferable and cannot be taken as subscription credit or any other form.
10.6Tax. You are responsible for any tax liability arising from a payment. CalCut recommends you seek independent advice about your own circumstances.
10.7Your result is yours. CalCut does not publish the names, weights or results of entrants, whether or not they are paid. If CalCut ever wishes to feature you, it will ask for your written consent first, and you are free to say no.
11.1CalCut may end an entry at any time, without payment, where it reasonably believes the entrant has:
(a)attempted to circumvent their calorie or step targets, or logged in a way designed to record a green day that did not reflect the day;
(b)logged food, weight or step data that does not reflect their genuine intake, weight or activity, including the use of any device, application or method to generate step counts artificially, or logged a weight that does not match its photograph;
(c)entered through multiple accounts, or through another person's account;
(d)pre-registered or entered while ineligible under section 3;
(e)breached these Terms or the CalCut Terms of Service; or
(f)engaged in conduct that CalCut reasonably considers fraudulent, abusive or damaging to CalCut or to other entrants.
11.2Where an entry is ended under this clause, CalCut will tell the entrant why.
12.1The Guarantee involves a sustained reduction in calorie intake and a daily activity goal. You take part at your own risk. You are solely responsible for deciding whether it is safe and appropriate for you, and for seeking medical advice where appropriate.
12.2CalCut is not a medical provider. Nothing in the Guarantee, the app or these Terms is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
12.3The app will not set a calorie target below its minimum daily calorie floor. If your circumstances change during your Guarantee Period such that a 750 kcal deficit is no longer appropriate, change to a slower rate. That ends your entry under clause 7.2, and your health comes first.
12.4Welfare. CalCut may end an entry, with payment of $600 as if the claim had been made and verified, where an entrant's rate of weight loss or pattern of logging raises a genuine health or safety concern. Where this occurs CalCut will contact the entrant. This clause exists for participant welfare.
13.1Individual results vary. Other than the payment described in section 10, CalCut makes no representation, promise or guarantee as to the results any entrant will achieve.
13.2To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalCut excludes all liability for any loss, injury, damage or expense arising from participation in the Guarantee.
13.3Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
13.4CalCut is not liable for technical failures, data loss, or any interruption to the app, Apple Health or any third-party platform, except that where a fault in the CalCut app itself prevents a day from being scored, CalCut will score that day from the evidence available and in the entrant's favour.
14.1Personal information collected in connection with the Guarantee is handled in accordance with the CalCut Privacy Policy at https://calcut.com.au/privacy.html.
14.2Information collected for the Guarantee — your email address, weights, daily rule data, subscription status, payment details, and any scale photographs you send us — is used to administer the Guarantee, to determine and pay claims, and to prevent fraud.
14.3Scale photographs you send are deleted within 90 days of your claim being resolved, unless the claim is disputed, in which case they are kept until the dispute is resolved.
14.4CalCut will use the email address you pre-register with to contact you about the Guarantee and about CalCut products and services. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by writing to support@calcut.com.au. Opting out does not affect Guarantee communications, which are necessary to administer your entry.
14.5CalCut does not sell or share entrants' information with any third party for that party's own purposes.
15.1CalCut may close pre-registration at any time under clause 4.2.
15.2CalCut may amend these Terms to correct an error or to comply with law. An amendment will not reduce the payment, tighten the condition in section 8, or shorten the Claim Window for anyone who has already entered.
15.3Anyone who has entered before a closure or amendment is entitled to the Guarantee on the Terms in force when they entered.
16.1These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
16.2If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
16.3CalCut's decisions on matters covered by these Terms are made reasonably and in good faith. If you believe a decision is wrong, write to support@calcut.com.au within 14 days and CalCut will review it and reply in writing.
